About the Author

Elise Kova has always had a profound love of fantastical worlds. Somehow, she managed to focus on the “real world” long enough to graduate with a Master’s in Business Administration before crawling back under her favorite writing blanket to conceptualize her next magic system. She currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, and when she’s not writing can be found playing video games, watching anime, or talking with readers on social media. She is the author of the Air Awakens Series as well as the upcoming Loom Saga

I received an arc from the author in exchange for an honest review

OH MY GOSH! It has finally ended. Can you believe it? I read this book a while ago, but I am unsure and still am on how to proceed with the information that this series has finally finished. I don't want it to go. I want to know what happens to Jax, Elecia, Daniel, Fritz, Graham and so many more. How do I go on?

This book picks from exactly where it left off, Vhalla and Aldrik need to save their people, reaffirm the faith in their people, bring hope and peace and finally end the war. In amidst all of this, can Vhalla and Aldrik's love survive? Or will they have to give the biggest sacrifice of them all? I think this is my favourite book in all of the series, it is really hard to pinpoint why exactly but there are so many things I loved about this book.

I loved seeing Vhalla take more of a leadership role in this book in most things, she took the reins of what she thought was best and faced every obstacle head on. Her love and support from Aldrik is what I would have loved to see at the start of the book but I am glad to see it finally did happen. Aldrik finally had the happiness he deserved and didn't shy from it either. Ohh their love? It is absolutely to die for!

The theme for this book was simple: hope. Hope is the very fibre the world lives in, without it the world would be in chaos. I loved how this theme was consistent through everything, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Just like for Vhalla it is very hard sometimes to see the positive when times are hard, even more harder to have faith in things will get better. But it does make it easier by having a supportive team behind you, and someone who you can be yourself with.

Oh wow, the plot in this book was even more swoon worthy than the first four. I feel like this book has a perfect combination of everything; action; romance; love; kisses; fight; war; humour; tension. I do mean LITERALLY EVERYTHING! My heart was breaking every page I turned, I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what awaits next. The flow of this storyline was perfect, each emotion was established flawlessly. Just like every brush stroke painted beautifully.

It's hard to say on the character development, specifically in this book because the characters have grown in every page of the book from the beginning, and me as a reader has changed with every word written in the book. There has been significant development for Vhalla and Aldrik since the beginning, and it has been a delight to read them, as much as I hate saying goodbye to the characters. I loved how they turned out, they are beautiful and will always be.

Psssstttt......
