This book was very interesting, by the title of this book says it all but at the same time it doesn't either. Confusing much right?
Well I feel ya, as I felt excatly the same! I really did think the book was very new and challenging from reading the synopsis as I have not read many books about Pirates except maybe when I was younger (haven't we all?). Now, what you don't get from the book at first is the the first chapter, is starts as a prologue but where does the first chapter start? It doesn't! The book is very long to begin with but they are a like 5 or 6 chapters in the book I am unsure as they are in Roman Numerals (I know, I should Google it really as Google has all the answers!) This made it really hard to keep up with the book, there were markings to let the reader know of another setting being set but it would have helped if it was broken down and had small chapters instead of long ones!
Apart from that, what I did like mostly about the book was Thomas, Molly and Leon these characters were perfect and they made the book such a pleasure to read! Although, there were alot of things I still did not understand. Since it is such a long book I felt like there were places in the book where the detail could be elaborated and other places where it made the scene look more eloooongated!

The best part of this book had to be the world that was created when as the reader you are reading the book, it totally takes you to another level. Some of the grpahic designed and described is truly amazing and for that, the book deserves to be recognised and noted!

About The Author:
Chad T. Douglas was born
in Wilkesboro, North Carolina in 1989. He has lived in Florida since 2002 and
graduated from the University of Florida in 2012. In 2009 he published the
first book in the Lore series, A Pirate’s Charm. Douglas released the second
installment, East and Eight, in December 2010, and the third and final
installment, The Old World, in November 2011. His most recent novel, Earthshine
(2012) is the first installment of a science fiction series.
Since 2010, Douglas has
been a traveling staff writer for the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and
Biodiversity at the Florida Museum of Natural History. When he isn’t spinning
tales of his own, he travels with and writes for the McGuire Center.
